Meet The Team
Design Solutions was founded in 1988. Our professional affiliations with the American Institute of Building Design and the Southern Arizona Homebuilders Association soon followed. Over the years the staff has grown from two to as many as six employees, working on an average of over one hundred projects a year. We are proud to support numerous charitable causes in southern Arizona, including Agua Prieta Shelters, SAAF, and the Tucson Food Bank.
Jim Pitts is a Certified Professional Building Designer and the President of Design Solutions. He has been involved in residential design in Tucson for over 30 years. His early career working directly for local homebuilders has given him a solid foundation of construction knowledge. He received the American Institute of Building Design’s Designer of the Year award in 2006 and an AIBD President’s Award of Recognition in 2007 for his service to the profession.
Kelly Hales has been with Design Solutions for 17 years. He is a Certified Professional Building Designer and a Professional member of the American Institute of Building Design, and has served as the Arizona Society Vice-President and Secretary. He also volunteers as a Scoutmaster with the local Boy Scouts of America.
Wendi Munsey is a Certified Professional Building Designer and has been with Design Solutions for over 10 years. She is a Professional member of the American Institute of Building Design and is currently Vice President of the Arizona Society. She also is active with the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association Green Build Committee.
Ben Bailey is the lead drafter at Design Solutions. He has a drafting degree from Pima College and hopes to continue his studies in the education field. Andrea Barnes is the newest member of the staff and is augmenting her education with on the job training.
